Beginning of week 2

Well, I haven't blogged in a few days.
Just relaxing, even leaving phone/camera at the condo while going out and about.

So far, we've stayed in a condo on the island of 'Isla Mujeres' for 6 nights. Very beautiful beach area. Nice clear blue water. 
Then we stayed a couple of nights in a condo in the Half-Moon-Bay area of Akumal. Awesome place. Big sliding windows/doors that face the ocean, that you could see from the bedroom. Awesome way to wake up.

Our first rain

It's day 3, mid afternoon.  Starting to rain a bit, but that's ok. 

We have a balcony at our condo, so we have a great view, despite it all.

Soccer time

We're measuring the length of our vacation, not in days, but by the number of Seattle Sounders soccer games.

There will be a total of 5 soccer games played by the Sounders during our vacation.

Today happens to be game #1, and it happens to be on the local Spanish ESPN channel, with the announcers doing their thing.... In Spanish.   But that's ok. We don't need to understand what they're saying.  It's just fun watching the home team.

We're already on the first flight, Seattle to Dallas, then it's Dallas to Cancun.

Woohoo, it's my last day at work today, then my vacation starts!!

Tomorrow, I'll finish packing, and then we're heading out...
about 50 or so hours to go, then we'll be landing in Mexico....

Pre-trip Summary

Well, not that I'm counting or anything, but today marks the 2-week countdown to our arrival in Mexico, for a 22-day vacation.

We'll be landing in Cancun, but staying on the island of "Isla Mujeres" for 6 nights,
and in the Akumal area for 16 nights.
